The ITAM Dispatch
Flexera ITAM release briefing for the field. Agent, beacon, platform.
The ITAM Dispatch reads the Flexera release notes so you don't have to. Pick the version range you are moving through for the FlexNet Inventory Agent and Inventory Beacon, and the matrices tell you, at a glance, what the upgrade buys you, what's still open, and what got introduced that you should know about before you press go.
Three editions this volume: Agent, Beacon, Flexera One ITAM. Each is a standalone page driven by its own JSON data files, so the next Flexera release folds in by appending records. No rebuild. The data is what the editorial commentary rests on. The editorial commentary is what the data alone does not say.

What each label means
Kind
- FEATURE
- A new capability added to the product. You gain functionality; nothing breaks.
- FIX
- Resolves existing broken behavior. Plan with the next change window.
- ARCH
- Architectural shift. May require driver, dependency, or deployment updates before upgrade.
Matrix states
- Fixed
- The fix shipped in this version or later. You're clear once you upgrade past it.
- Open
- The issue is still unfixed in this version.
- Introduced
- A regression entered in this version, which is newer than your installed release.
- Uncertain
- Version range is ambiguous; check Flexera's release notes directly.
- —
- Outside the issue's existence window (typically before it was introduced).
Affects-us labels
- Yes
- Likely affects a typical ITAM shop running this version.
- No
- Unlikely to affect a typical ITAM shop.
- Check
- Depends on configuration, so review it against your environment.
- Maybe
- Situationally; edge cases warrant attention.
§2 Scope of the publication
Flexera One is a portfolio, not a product. ITAM, FinOps, SaaS Management, Cloud Governance. Each is a Flexera service under the same umbrella. The ITAM Dispatch covers one of those services today: ITAM. That is the entire scope.
If readership grows into the other services, the publication follows. One service at a time, only when the readership is there. Until then, ITAM is what you get.
§3 How to use an edition
Open an edition. Use the version range picker at the top to set the release you are moving from and the release you are moving to, for your Agent and/or Beacon. The matrix re-renders to show, for every tracked issue, the state across that range: Fixed (released in a newer version), Open (still unfixed at your version), Introduced (a regression introduced in your installed version or newer, not yet fixed), Uncertain (range is ambiguous), or — (not relevant at your installed version).
Each row is also tagged by kind: FEATURE for new capabilities (you gain functionality, nothing breaks), FIX for bug fixes (resolves existing broken behavior, so plan it with the next change window), or ARCH for architectural shifts (a capability change that may also require driver, dependency, or deployment updates before upgrade). The row's left border tints to match the kind so a category scan is possible without reading every title.
Each row carries an italicised "What this means" cell. It explains what the bug or fix actually means in a customer environment. Written for the practitioner who needs to decide whether the upgrade is worth the disruption. The affects-us labels (Yes / No / Check / Maybe) describe whether the issue likely affects a typical ITAM shop, not whether your shop is affected. You do the final word.
§4 Release scope
The Agent and Beacon editions track the FlexNet Inventory Agent and Inventory Beacon releases from the 25.x and 26.x release lines for the Agent and the 22.x through 26.x lines for the Beacon, current at 26.4.0. Pre-25.0.0 Agent history and pre-22.4.0 Beacon history are out of scope; refer to Flexera's archived release notes for those windows. The Flexera One ITAM edition starts from the non-empty monthly releases of the Flexera One platform and grows forward from there as new monthly releases ship. Empty months are skipped.
Newer Flexera releases are added by appending to the JSON files; the HTML pages pick them up without editorial changes.
