Security

Published problems, and the quiet work behind every release.

Second edition October 2026 Last update … Personal project

The Dispatch now carries a security layer. It holds two different things, kept apart on purpose: published problems, each with an identifier, a severity and a fix you can point at, and the library refreshes Flexera ships inside the agent and the beacon.

Everything here is scoped to the products this site tracks: FlexNet Inventory Agent, Inventory Beacon and Flexera One ITAM. Flexera publishes advisories for many more products, Snow Inventory Agent, FlexNet Publisher and Snow License Manager among them, and those are left out on purpose. A problem in one product says nothing about the others, so each record below names the product it applies to.

§1 Published problems

These are problems in the Flexera platform, published with a reference, a severity score and a stated fix. Flexera publishes a platform release for every agent and beacon release line, and that is what links a published problem to the version you actually run: an advisory that says “upgrade to 2026 R1” is resolved by the first release that ships on platform 2026 R1.

§2 Library refreshes

The agent and the beacon ship with copies of common open-source libraries. Flexera refreshes them release by release to close known security problems in the code running on your machines. It is the quietest work your upgrade brings you, and for a long time it was the one line the site dropped. These are the refreshes Flexera published, release by release.
